How these guides are written
Written by the people who run the machines
Every guide is reviewed by an engineer who has cut, formed or polished the material in question. Where we have made the mistake ourselves, we say so — a failure mode we have seen on our own shop floor is more useful to you than a specification sheet.
Numbers, not adjectives
Thicknesses in millimetres, tolerances in millimetres, spans in millimetres, lead times in working days. "High quality" and "premium finish" tell a buyer nothing they can specify from.
We will say when acrylic is wrong
Acrylic is the wrong material for aggressive solvents, prolonged UV exposure and deliberate abuse. Those answers appear in the guides too, because a buyer who finds out after the tooling is paid for does not come back.
